Battle in Bluegrass 2024
To continue with our season after KOH, we loaded up Irene and the Cherokee and made the trip east for the Battle in Bluegrass presented by Holley Off-Road in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
The practice and qualifying rounds went well for both Chip and Scott – they felt pretty good about the cars and the track and were ready to compete come time for the finals.
In the 4600 race, Scott had some motor trouble that slowed him down a bit (and would lead to needing to pull it after the race). He finished 4th in class for a solid showing in the first regional race of the season.
Chip ran smooth during the 4400 race and ended up in 7th place with a no major issues to the car.
It’s always a fun time in Kentucky, and it was great to get back in the cars and on a track with our racing friends!
