Kentucky 2023

Chip, Dave, and Peanut made the quick trip to Kentucky for the first regional race of our 2023 season. 

The mix of dirt, rocks, and trees made for a challenging course, but the guys qualified in the top 15 for a solid start to the weekend. On race day, we got started early by helping our friend Cody St. Clair in the 4500 class then got ready for the 4400s to start.

Irene was running great, with more power than it’s had in a long time thanks in part to Johnny’s Custom Motorsports. Unfortunately, Chip and Dave lost a high-pressure steering hose on lap 3 that wasn’t an easy fix, so their day ended early.

While they were racing, they didn’t hit a single tree or blow single tire – so still some small victories!
