Race to Midnight 2024

Our season rolled on at Texana Ranch in West Texas for the 2024 Race to Midnight put on by the Texas Desert Racing Association!

Last year part of the team went to the race to help and support some of our friends, and after that we knew we wanted to add it to our schedule for this season. So, after Kentucky Dave and Scott got Irene prepped and ready for some desert racing action.

Some of the guys were thinking Irene needed some extra horsepower after KOH, so we swapped out her motor and had Johnny (from Total Racing Solutions) come out to dyno and tune the car before we loaded up. 

After a short drive from DFW, we made it to the ranch and got ready to officially start race weekend. Things on the track started off as good as could be – with a pole position for Chip and Brad.  

Since the race wasn’t slated to start until 6 p.m. on Saturday, we were able to get some extra pre-running and rest that morning. Later that day, we lined up to hit the track and race into the night. After finishing all 180+ miles in roughly 4 hours, Chip and Brad finished first in the rock class and had the second-fastest time overall.

We have to give a huge shoutout to all our sponsors for helping get us to the top of the box this race, especially Baja Designs and Nightstick. They kept us lit up on track and in the pits all night and we couldn’t have done it without them!
