To cap off the 2024 Ultra4USA season, we traveled a few hours north to Davis, Oklahoma. We love getting to race at Cross Bar Ranch because it’s close to home and provides a great blend of racing terrain – short course, rocks, woods, and plenty of gotchas.

After a nice and easy qualifying run from Scott in his 4800 class debut, as well as Chip and Pip in the 4400 class, we were ready to take on our final race day of the year.

Scott and Johnny started picking people off early in their race, pushing the car hard in the first few laps. On the final lap, they slowed it down some, determined to hold the car together and finish.

They crossed the line with a second-place finish – a great showing for their first race in a new car and class.

Later that afternoon in the 4400 race, Pip and Dave were running strong to start, but broke on lap 2, ending their day early.

Chip and Brad blew through a few tires in the first 3 laps, but other than that Irene withstood the beating the course put it through and they were in a good position going into the final lap. They kept running strong and brought home a third-place finish.

During the awards ceremony after the race, we were honored to, alongside 2023 recipient Chad Hundt, present the 2024 Zandy Willems Sportsman of the Year award to Casey Gilbert for all he does for our racing community and sport in general.

We went into 2024 with full but heavy hearts and are thankful to everyone who helped us make it through another season! We wouldn’t be here without our amazing sponsors and partners.
