Disney 2023

After an emotional trip to Disney, Oklahoma, last year for Nationals, we were excited to go back for the Best Dam Race of the Year in 2023.

Things started on a high note with all three cars (Pip and Chip in the 4400 class and Scott in the 4600) qualifying in the top 10 of their classes.

Scott and Little Foot pushed hard on Friday night and secured a spot on the podium (by just about one second) for the first race of the weekend.

We kicked off Saturday by supporting the next generation of the sport and taking in the 700 class race. Then we got to watch and support Cody St. Clair win the 4500 class – with Little Foot co-driving. 

The 4400 race was a beatdown for a lot of cars. Chip and Brad pushed the #4 car hard and finished in 6th. Pip and Dave had a serpentine belt failure that ended their day early, but they waited just off course to cross the line with Chip and Brad and managed a 9th place finish.

We love getting to race in what feels like our own backyard, and Disney has quickly become a home away from home for our team – thanks in large part to Robert and his crew at Mooney’s Sunset Bar & Grill!
